i have always loved reading and writing.i want to write a song but it seems like theres nothing eles to write about..
Writer's usually get inspired when they least expect it. Sometimes an over heard conversation, a silent moment, a news story, a memory or a moment closer to nature can just touch something off that sets that creative wheel to spinning.
It rarely can be forced.
You will write when you decide what you want to say.
Here are some ideas:
Historical events
Literature
Film
personal experiences
philosophy
Historical figure
something you don't like
situation a friend is going through
feelings (of course)
really just something important to you, even if it's a pet hamster. Or, take a song that you like and do it in your style. Sometimes people feel this is a rip off, but other times it really works. 3 examples:
Death from Above 1979 cover of Bloc Party's "Luno"
The Pixies cover of "In Heaven" from the film Eraserhead
Johnny Cash cover of NIN "hurt"
Good luck!
i break out in song a lot i usually just rhyme what comes to mind and put it in music form like
i'm typing an answer
those are my pants sir
where is my belt
its made of felt
Write about what you feel, or what you see. Writing a song is a personal thing, not attempting to write the "Next Big Hit".
Just start making sentences, and put them to rhyme or something.
